FRACTAL

Use the arrow keys, Page Up and Page Down, or scroll to move time. Keys 1 to 7 jump between chapters. At the end, wait a moment, then keep scrolling to rewind to the start.

  1. Silence. A clear glass sphere floats above a black floor. Everything that holds eventually gives.
  2. Fracture. A crack starts and branches across the surface. Light only shows through the cracks.
  3. Rupture. The sphere bursts, then time almost stops.
  4. Traversal. The camera moves through the frozen pieces. This took less than a tenth of a second. Words engraved in the glass appear one after another and make one sentence: time stopped so you could see this. Four times the camera passes through a piece of glass.
  5. Constellations. The pieces gather into words: still, here. Then into the shape of the sphere, with gaps.
  6. Fall. Then time starts again. The pieces fall slowly and settle on the floor.
  7. Reflection. The whole sphere only appears in the reflections. The guide piece stands on the floor, the sphere in its reflection, with a line engraved inside it: nothing comes back quite the same.
